Picking the Tennis GOAT is Futile

Every few years there is talk about who the Greatest tennis player Of All Time (GOAT) is. While some discussions of this may provide some interesting analysis of various players, actually picking a GOAT is futile. You’ll see similar debates in the baseball world and perhaps (American) football as well.

How can one pluck a player from another decade or era and make valid comparisons? What constitutes a better player? More major wins? More overall wins? Longer at #1? It’s unknowable who the true GOAT is.

While these debates will continue to rage, take a pause and marvel in the individual player and the impact and difficulty of their accomplishments, regardless of it they should be considered the GOAT.
